Today, you pick up the car at Newark Airport and travel south to Philadelphia for a quick visit to this charming city, the cradle of the American independence. You can find the famous 'Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Penn’s Landing and much more here. This stage of the journey ends in Washington, where you stay two nights.
Today you will have a chance to explore more of the nation’s capitol. Visit the city’s most famous sites which are mostly concentrated along the National Mall, often called the “Nation’s Front Yard”; it expands from the Lincoln Memorial on the Potomac to the Capitol Building and Supreme Court on Capitol Hill. Along the Mall are the majority of the 18 museums which comprise the Smithsonian Institution, the War Memorials, and the Washington Monument which offers rides to the top of the obelisk and lies south of the illustrious White House. Other points of interest are Arlington National Cemetery, the Library of Congress, the National Cathedral, and the National Zoo. Of course, there is more to Washington than historical site-seeing. Washington has also developed an active nightlife. Besides the world-class restaurants, you can see Broadway shows, Washingtononly political satires, and live music of all types. At the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, you can catch live theater and music performances.

You continue your journey to Richmond, ‘Capital of the Confederacy’, and Williamsburg, where the time stood still 200 years ago. The colonial town offers a tour around and in the historic houses to relive the life of a pioneer. Through Norfolk, with the stunning Mariners Museum, you reach Virginia Beach.
Kilometers of long, sandy beaches and a boardwalk of 3 km welcomes you to Virginia Beach. Enjoy a relaxing day in the sun, near the sea and beach. Taste the splendid local fish restaurants and cocktails at the cozy little cafees.
Right across the border from Virginia to North Carolina, you reach the region of the Outer Banks. It offers serveral little islands, fishersmans villages, beaches, lighthouses and lakes. It is a favourite decor for many film directors. Further to Wilmington, an important harbour and worth a visit to the Chandler’s Wharf, the Cotton Exchange, the Train Museum and across the bridge you will find the USS North Carolina Battleship Memorial, a memorial in remembrance of the veterans of the Second World War.
You travel South along the coastline, across the border with South Carolina to Myrtle Beach, with spectacular beaches and a vibrant atmosphere during summer. Via Georgetown and the refreshing Francis Marion National Forest, you reach Charleston, the oldest city of the state.
Known for its countless constructions from Colonial times, picturesque squares and beautiful beaches, makes Charleston an attractive city all year round. Visit a few attractions around town such as Patriots Point with the worlds biggest marine museum, Fort Sumter – a federal forttification situated in the harbour, Boone Hall Plantation – a former cotton plant and Magnolia Plantation for its gardens and plantation houses.
Along the broad coastline of South Caroline, you travel ahead to Hilton Head Island. Enjoy several relaxing hours or participate in one of the countless recrational activities. In the afternaoon, you reach Savannah, one of the finest and most attractive cities in the South of the States. Make some time for a long walk in the historic streets near the river.
Beautiful squares, many historic houses and wonderful gardens contribute to the charme of this nice city. The best way to discover the city is by foot - visit the James Fripp House, the Owens-Thomas House, the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum, City Hall, ect.
On the schedule for today, you drive South to Brunswick and the border with Florida. While passing, the Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation is absolutely worth a visit and you can take a little side road to Jekyll Island to make a long walk at the beach. Though the industial Jacksonville, you get to St. Augustine, the oldest town in America.
Discover the charme of the ‘Oldest House’, the 'Oldest Store Museum’, the star shaped fortification Castillo de San Marcos, the City Hall, and more. Along the coastline, you wander South to Daytona Beach, where the famous ‘Speedway’ and the ‘Museum of Speed’ are worth a visit. In Orlando, the most popular attraction parks in Florida are ready to be explored.
