The city is located on Lake Michigan and has beautiful shores with many beaches and parks. The Magnificent Mile is a famous stretch of "Michigan Avenue. This is still a very prestigious boulevard and has many historic buildings and 'landmarks' that set the mood. Along this 'Mile' are numerous chain stores, restaurants, hotels and museums.

The area around Amarillo is relatively flat but very vast, the landscape you know from the many westerns shot in Texas. In Amarillo you will find attractions such as the Cadillac Ranch, the famous restaurant The Big Texan Ranch and Wonderland Park. And nearby, a visit to the beautiful Palo Duro Canyon park is not to be missed.
